About these plans
Square-foot counts follow standard square-foot gardening spacings (for example, 4 lettuce, 9 spinach, or 16 carrots per square foot). Tall crops sit on the north side of each plan so they don’t shade shorter ones. Treat plant counts as a starting point — your variety and spacing preferences may differ.
