Why this blog exists
Pot and Plot started with a simple frustration: gardening advice that assumes you already know everything. Half the guides out there skip the basics, the other half read like textbooks. We wanted a middle ground — friendly, firsthand, practical growing advice for real people with real backyards, balconies, and busy schedules.
Whether you’re growing your first tomato in a five-gallon bucket or planning a full backyard of raised beds, you’ll find step-by-step help here that actually makes sense.
Hi, I’m Maya
I’m a home gardener, not a botanist. Everything I share here comes from years of trial and error in my own garden — the wins, the wilted seedlings, the zucchini avalanche of summer, all of it.
I garden the way most of us do: on weekends, on a budget, learning as I go. If a method made it onto this blog, it’s because it worked in a real backyard, not a greenhouse. And when something flops, I’ll tell you that too, so you don’t have to learn it the hard way.
