Plant Spacing Calculator

Enter your bed size and crop to see exactly how many plants fit, how many go in each row, and how many rows you get.

How it’s figured

Plants per row = floor(length in inches ÷ in-row spacing). Rows = floor(width in inches ÷ spacing between rows, same value for a square grid). Offset rows stagger every other row, which fits roughly 15% more plants, so the total is multiplied by 1.15 and rounded down. Spacing values come from the shared Pot and Plot crop dataset (typical ranges).
