Harvest Date Estimator

Plant it and forget it? Not quite — knowing when dinner’s ready helps you plan successions and squeeze in a fall crop. Pick your planting date and a crop, and this estimator shows your expected harvest window. Use it alongside our seed-starting calendar to plan the whole season.

Pick a planting (or transplant) date and a crop to see your expected harvest window — handy for planning successions and fall gardens.

How it’s figured

Harvest window = planting date + typical days-to-maturity range for that crop. Ranges assume decent growing conditions — heat, cold snaps, and variety choice shift real dates. For transplants (tomato, pepper, broccoli), count from the day you plant out, not the day you sow indoors. Garlic is the exception: plant cloves in fall, harvest the following summer.
